How do I book?

How long is a session?

It’s a big day that starts at 8am and ends around 1:30pm.

Are images included with the photography session?

All images are purchased separately after the session as part of a collection. I have created three incredible collections to choose from so that you can find the perfect way to present your images for your personal viewing or as a gift. You will also get a digital album of the high-resolution images you purchase.

What products do you offer?

I offer a variety of premium keepsakes. I have three premade collections for my clients to choose from, which include premium leather albums. The premium leather albums are the perfect keepsake to showcase the gorgeous art we create together. You may customize your collection to include other options like a presentation box, wall art, a folio, or smaller shelf art. Examples of all products are displayed in the studio.

Also of note: I use a female-owned and operated professional processor. They work exclusively with Boudoir Photographers. It is a female-only production team that handmakes your keepsakes and premium leather albums from start to finish to ensure your images are handled with care and respect.

How much does a session cost?

The Signature Boudoir Session has a $399 booking fee required to secure your date. I have other session options available, prices are listed on the services page. Images are purchased separately. I have three premade collections to choose from and additional art to customize your collection.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, I offer payment plans and financing. I am happy to work with you to make this attainable for everyone. Full payment must be received before image and product delivery.

How far in advance should I have my session?

I recommend two months before you need your product delivered. Especially if you have a deadline for a holiday, birthday gift, groom’s gift, or anniversary. This allows enough time for the session, viewing, editing, retouching, album production, and delivery.

Can I book the shoot and choose a package later?

Absolutely! You can book your session now and choose your collection when you come back for your viewing session.

When will I see my photos?

The viewing session or Reveal happens about two weeks after your session. You will come back into the studio on your Reveal Day and view your images or if you are from out of town, I will do an online reveal. During your viewing, you will pick out your favorite images and we will design an album if one is purchased and pick out any other products you are interested in purchasing. I will be with you through the entire process to help guide you.

Will you help me prepare?

Before your photoshoot, you will receive a Preparation Guide to help you navigate through the process of getting ready for your session. My goal is to equip you with everything you need to know in the days/weeks leading up to the session and what to do before you arrive at the studio to alleviate any stress. It's a full checklist to be sure you are ready to look and feel your absolute best.

Where are you located?

The studio is located in the trendy Slabtown District of Traverse City, Michigan, just one block from the bay. It is a locked set, with privacy screens on the windows. You can be assured no one will walk in or be able to see us working. We are super safe, private, and secure. The studio is gorgeous and offers a variety of looks. It has big beautiful windows to let in a ton of natural light.

What about Hair and Make-up?

Professional hair and makeup services are provided in all of my sessions. I have an exclusive and experienced makeup artist who is amazing! She will take time to explain things to you and find the perfect look for you. Her professional application is the perfect amount to enhance all your beauty. Most women love the look so much they request a date from their significant other or a friend at the end of the session. You simply must take your hair and makeup out on the town! Or pick up the kids from school…

What do I wear?

The Preparation Guide is sent to you after your session is booked. It provides lots of guidance and inspiration to make sure you have the perfect look or lingerie for your session. You may bring your own items, choose from the growing client closet, or do a little bit of both. I’m also very happy to incorporate any special props or items you would like to include in your session.

I have insecurities about acne, cellulite, stretch marks, tattoos, etc. Can you get rid of them?

I can almost always make any of those above items disappear or at least greatly reduce them. I gently edit your images to reduce any distractions that may prevent you from fully enjoying the image or art. I am a big fan of images looking polished, but try to keep things looking natural and not too overdone. I want the image to look like you, just polished and ready to showcase as beautiful art. If you have other concerns about your body, let's talk. Between outfit choice, lighting, posing, angles, and editing, I will do my very best to conceal the things that make you uncomfortable and focus on the things you love.

Do I have to get naked?

I want you to feel as comfortable as possible. This is your session and you can bare as little or as much as you would like. Something to keep in mind, only you and I will see these images. If you want to give something outside your comfort zone a try, we can try it. If you’re not satisfied, the photos never need to see the light of day again. It will be just between you and me.

Will you help me pose?

I will guide you through every pose, explaining the pose or showing you exactly what I’m trying to achieve. From the top of your head to the tips of your toes and everything in between. It is my job to direct and guide you through every step of the posing process.

Can I bring a friend to my session?

This is such a personal photo session, the best art is created when it is just you and I. I want to give you all my attention, and you will need to give me all your attention. This day is about YOU! But be sure to have your friend take you out afterward so you can fill him or her in on all the details!

Can I reschedule?

Yes, you can reschedule at no charge. Life happens. I get it.

Will my photos be posted online?

The privacy of every single client is paramount. I will never post images that show your face without your written permission. I will not post any images if you are uncomfortable. I take your privacy seriously.

I am a plus size, should I still do a session?

YES!! Your weight should never be a reason to put off a boudoir session. It should never be a reason to put off anything. I believe every woman deserves to feel beautiful and sexy in their body. I pose every client according to their body type and ensure I get the most flattering angles. I’m a plus-size woman, I get it, and I LOVE my curves. Let me help you love your curves. You are sexy and beautiful at any size.

I’m a mature older woman, should I still do a session?

YES!! I believe beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful and sexy at any age. At every age! Don’t let age define your beauty. I’m a mature woman, a grandma (well… Gemma), I get it, and I LOVE my lines and years–let me help you love yours. Celebrate your years! All of them!
